Has anyone hear heard of Anki Drive before? It's a real-world racing game with sensor-laden Matchbox cars on a custom track, controlled by an iPhone. Apparently they've just updated it with new features, including an EMP to disable opponents.

Seems cool, except that it looks like the cars drive like slot cars and not free roaming RC cars, which is probably easier for beginners for sure, but slot cars get lame after the first 30 minutes...so...$199...a bit much.

I think this looks pretty fun. Am I going to buy it? Nah, I'm too damn old to drop $200 bucks on something that, sadly, I probably wouldn't end up playing all that often. Maybe when there's a price drop, I can justify buying it for my daughter. Trying to influence a future gear-head over here.
